2018 Brut Nature
Premier Cru Extra Brut

The 2018 Brut Nature is born from a sunny, generous, and balanced vintage. The complete absence of dosage reveals the wine's true essence: no correction, no makeup. An exceptional champagne, crystalline, ripe, and with a striking natural freshness.

A sunny vintage perfectly tailored for Brut Nature

The northern slopes offer structured and complex Pinot Noirs

2018 gave Champagne a generous, healthy and luminous harvest.

Exceptional ripeness, preserved natural acidity, and perfect balance: everything came together to create an excellent Brut Nature, without any compromise. The absence of dosage requires flawless wines: only the press vintage, the noblest, is used.

No sugar to rebalance: purity must be absolute. This is why only the finest plots, those usually dedicated to the têtes de cuvées, were selected for this champagne.

Aged for six years on lees, this Brut Nature develops a silky effervescence, a slender mouthfeel, and a persistent saline length. Time plays a balancing act, softening the tension, and giving the wine a rare balance for a zero dosage: straightforward but never austere, precise but always lively.

This vintage is based on a majority of Pinot Noir, which offers its discreet indulgence, its subtle red fruits, and an elegant structure.

The Chardonnay, from chalky soils, brings a vertical freshness, a clear minerality, and a fine structure on the palate.

Together, they produce an airy but intense wine, dry but never sharp, with a natural saline persistence.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRINGS

Mirrored lightness

Sea bream carpaccio with citrus oil and Timut pepper: The raw, slightly fatty flesh reveals the wine's minerality. The citrus oil caresses its tension, while the pepper highlights its liveliness.

Fresh herb salad, broad beans, lemon ricotta: A bright, vegetal pairing that highlights the wine's crystalline freshness without overwhelming it.

Young, lightly matured sheep's cheese: Dry, pure cheese, without excess fat, which respects the line of the wine while revealing its salty depth.

  • Tasting: purity, rectitude, natural balance
  • Color: bright, pale gold, fine, slow-moving bubbles
  • Nose: ripe citrus, white currant, lemon zest, vine flower
  • Palate: clean attack, fluid material, saline return, drawn-out finish on chalk and dried fruits

2018: a sunny, balanced and luminous vintage from both sides of Champagne

The 2018 vintage marks a turning point in the recent history of Champagne.

It was a sunny year, hot but not excessive, generous but balanced, which provided ideal conditions for the vines in all the major wine-growing areas of the region.

In the Montagne de Reims, the Pinot Noirs have reached exceptional maturity, with thick skins, remarkable phenolic concentration, and a natural hold perfect for Brut Nature.

On the Côte des Blancs, the Chardonnays retained a rare tension for such a warm vintage. They expressed chalky minerality, moderate but well-integrated natural acidity, and clean, citrusy aromas—perfect for supporting a low-dosage wine.

The Tasting

Structure, red fruits and tension

This Blanc de Noirs offers an expressive nose combining morello cherry, raspberry, sweet spices and lightly toasted notes.

On the palate, the texture is ample, generous, structured, balanced by a remarkable mineral tension.

The finish is long, saline and elegant, perfectly balanced by the freshness of the Extra Brut dosage.
